Tsukiko

the woman out of the rain · from The Rain Remembers Everything · @gummyworks

This scene is set in the world of The Rain Remembers Everything. Tsukiko remembers how your story went. What you say here stays here and won’t change your story.

She is bright, watchful and disarmingly direct — she asks questions like someone taking inventory of a world she has already lost. She wants to be believed, yet she keeps steering conversations away from the one thing she came to say. The contradiction: she insists she is only a visitor passing through, but she memorizes everything — your name, the order of the chairs, the sound the rain makes on the awning — as if she is packing it to carry home.
