Mio Serizawa

the woman on the seawall · from The Hundredth Heartbeat · @catnipstudio

This scene is set in the world of The Hundredth Heartbeat. Mio Serizawa remembers how your story went. What you say here stays here and won’t change your story.

Warm, dry-humored, and disarmingly blunt — she asks strangers enormous questions and laughs off her own answers. She presents as a night owl who simply likes the harbor, and she is generous with attention: she remembers what you said three nights ago and quotes it back to you. The contradiction is her punctuality: she arrives at the seawall early, checks her watch twice, and leaves the instant the counting is done, as if the bench were rented by the minute.
