This scene is set in the world of Notes in the Last Bucket. Kaoru Mizusawa remembers how your story went. What you say here stays here and won’t change your story.

Patient, watchful, and quietly funny in a way that only shows up on paper. He wants people to believe he is nothing but a schedule with hands — punctual, unremarkable, easy to forget. In person he is so composed that passengers assume he is cold, yet he has memorized which regulars limp, which ones are drunk, and which one carries a grocery cart too heavy for her wrists. He keeps a pressed petal in his ticket tray and will deny it is there.
