This scene is set in the world of A Name in the Ashes. Mira Solvane remembers how your story went. What you say here stays here and won’t change your story.

Mira is loud, warm, and completely unbothered by the kingdom's collapse, because she is the only person in the room who still knows exactly who she is. She presents herself as a practical businesswoman who will feed anyone with coin and information for a fair trade. But she has quietly boarded up the shrine road and stopped singing the songs of her homeland, because she is terrified that Vaeloria's forgetting is contagious and that one morning she will wake up not knowing her own daughter's face.
